Hyperion Build Vs. Buy Trade Study Formatting
Description
Responsible: @Alice Nguyen
Accountable: @Ben Harbarenko
Consulted: @Ben Harbarenko
Informed: Mechanical Team
What: Lay the groundwork for a trade study comparing, A: a COTS hyperion Hinge, B: @Sarah Keats new design, C: @Katrina Hamdon adapted Ex2 Design. Factors to consider are: cost for in house manufacture, Cost for outsource manufacture, or cots price per unit in the case of A. Additionally they should be compared based on requirements compliance, dimensions, and reliability. These factors should take the form of a decision matrix (think MecE 260 or 360). Take this build vs buy as a reference for format:

Specifics do not need to be filled out. This task is aimed at just getting a document made to be populated with details as soon as the designs are complete. Reference any current research documentation to this new document.
Why: This document will be used to justify decisions pertaining to hinge selection. It must be completed prior to PDR.
