Deployment Switch CAD Implementation
Description

What:
1. Source a tentative rail switch
2. Import model of switch into Onshape
3. Model feasible mounting solution for rail switch in Icarus
4. Demonstrate mounting in full assembly
Considerations:
(You do not need to give any consideration to #5 or #2
(obviously rail switches are an acception to this requirement as they must protrude through the rails)
Resources:
This is a document I worked on last year and never completed. I attached some resources at the bottom that you should check out. I may have already sourced more than one feasible switch. If this is the case you just need to get the cad for it and find a way to mount it in Icarus: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gJ2Llb6YmVEcbmcPDdEVU9Csb-yV9Jw_fXWJA7xLhe4/edit
Check out what Orcasat (U-vic's last satelite) did for rail switches. I believe they did 8 switches. They have each pair of switches wired in parallel so that they behave as one in effect. This improves redundancy. Consider implementing 4 switches or 8 switches in parallel (one on each rail or 2 on each rail) and we will only actually connect 3 of them or 3 pairs. https://www.orcasat.ca/
