What: Quantifiably establish design parameters for a compliant Hyperion hinge. Refer to the NRCSD-E (https://nanoracks.com/wp-content/uploads/Nanoracks-External-Cygnus-Deployer-E-NRCSD-IDD.pdf) page 13 for the volume envelope available for the satellite. Refer to Ex-Alta 2 CAD as the assumed structure the hinges will interface with (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1zw0Y4LhD7IkPOgsIkOr8FfsBMZjpWSua). Generate 4 preliminary compliant hinge deigns that satisfy the design parameters.
Why: If CAN RGX is successful in its proposal to SEDS we will be responsible for providing feasible hinge designs for testing. The timeline will be relatively short (they fly in August). So we must get the ball rolling on this task.
