The goal of this task is to exercise and further develop research skills by validating the necessary imaging bands for Iris for the CUBICS mission. The first part of this task is to look at the CUBICS proposal (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DZpb5xFtsd_MJXCTYn73-q_JNNysfsm1eM8c-MazRSU/edit) to understand the imaging objectives and their properties (such as monitoring snow/ice melt). Then, look at the band matrix in the proposal to understand what bands are needed to calculate certain indices, and refer to the references to get an idea for the starting point for the literature search.

The idea is to validate these bands, determine bandwidths for these bands, and determine spatial resolutions that are necessary to image those targets, as mentioned in the proposal. This is currently being done for the Science Traceability Matrix (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1j_IEEziTCAitssOKGHR0NCFUo2MiSv8i2jxnJjv7gGo/edit#gid=1332768636), but confirm the aforementioned parameters to further strengthen our science requirements; highly recommend checking out the STM for hints on this task.

*Deliverable*: Create a document in the "Science Objectives Research" folder within the Iris drive (Ex-Alta 3 CUBICS --> EX3-I Payloads --> Requirements). This document should contain a tabulated summary of all the different indices (example NDWI, NDSI, etc.), the bands that are necessary for them, what these indices tell us about our imaging targets (where applicable), spatial resolutions necessary, and any other parameters that may be relevant. Don't forget to include references!
