Description
With the preliminary ICD completed, the custom PCB for interfacing with the camera modules must be designed in Altium Designer software. An alternative approach to using the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4) is using an STM32 microcontroller which has pins that can be assigned the differential D+/D- data lines from USB ports. The design must have USB ports (likely USB-A) capable of interfacing at USB2.0 speeds at minimum, temperature sensors, current monitors (and hence SEL protection), buck and boost converters (as needed), and other peripherals needed to ensure the proper functioning of the STM32 (such as high-speed/low-speed clocks, crystal oscillator, decoupling capacitors, etc.).
