Description

Who: The ADCS team. Help may be requested from other teams should any issues or bottlenecks be encountered.

What: Investigating the high-level options for possible ADCS systems. This includes the method for controlling attitude, such as reactions wheels, magnetorquers, gravity gradient, radiation pressure, etc. and also whether it will be designed and built by AlbertaSat or bought as a COTS system.

Why: To perform an in depth trade study on possible ADCS options, the scope of possible options must be narrowed enough to perform an adequate trade study in a reasonable time. By eliminating any options that do not meet requirements or are not feasible, a good trade study can then be performed.
