Development of a Post-Processing Algorithm for VNIR Discrimination
Description
With the possibility of utilizing a triple-bandpass filter to pass green, red, and NIR to a Bayer filter-coated VNIR image sensor, it is necessary to develop an algorithm for accurately taking out NIR information from red and green pixels, whilst also adding NIR information back to these pixels for the final image. This is necessary for studying the scientific usefulness of this filtering technique that Connor has come up with, which will aid in both the VNIR test plan and the band feasibility document. The deliverable is a logical algorithm (possibly implemented in a script) for being able to both read out individual red, green, and NIR information, in addition to reading out a smooth image, where each pixel contains some red, green, and NIR info.
