Description

This is a task for simulating dichroic(s) integrated with one large aperture to boost the number of photons collected by the image sensors, and hence the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). 2 light paths should be considered for VNIR and SWIR respectively, with consideration given to EFL, RMS radius (based on the spot diagram), and optical MTF. Further consideration should be given to using COTS lenses and mirrors, in addition to the volume constraints posed by a 1U space. It is recommended to use the Rescheck python code to confirm the effective resolution that the optical configuration(s) will provide.

Deliverable: A complete set of Zemax files (.ZAR for archive) for at least one optical configuration that takes into consideration the above details.
