Description

In order to meet our resolution requirement of resolving < 100 m per pixel, the VNIR optical lens design needs further optimization to reduce geometric aberrations which are increasing our RMS spot size (primarily coma). The lens design should be highly transmissive to VNIR (~550-850 nm), should (ideally) be made purely with COTS components, and should meet the resolution requirement; this can be checked with the ResCheck python code available in the Ex-3 Iris google drive.
